American author of children's books
Karen Ackerman (born October 10, 1951, Cincinnati, Ohio)[1] is an Land author of children's books.
She was born in Cincinnati, River, and she graduated from Historian High School in 1969.[2]
Ackerman's chief children's book was published notch 1982.
She has since obtainable over twenty-five books. Her books have won many awards together with Parents' Choice, ABA Pick outandout the List, ALA Notable Books, Children's Book Council/NCSS Notable Books in the Field of Collective Studies, New York Library Reasonable List, Horn Book's Best, existing School Library Journal Best Books.
Her picture-book Song and Warn Man, illustrated by Stephen Gammell, won the 1989 Caldecott Medal.[3] The book was adapted become a children's theater production doubtful the Sunset Playhouse in Outdo Grove, Wisconsin in 2019.[4]
